Make a Statement with Disney T-shirts

Photo from

While I was visiting Disneyland I noticed several families decked out in matching T-shirts. In some cases the shirts were all identical, and in one case the whole family, from grandparent to infant were all dressed in Agent P shirts. The shirts were not identical, but they matched because they all featured the fearless platypus from Phineas and Ferb.

These groups all looked like they were having a great time. I can’t say it was becasue of the matching T-shirts, but it was obvious that they were all ready to get into the Disney spirit. I only saw one downside to this trend. One Disney T-shirt can be expensive; buying them in bulk can really make a dent in a vacation budget. One way around this is to buy knock-offs, but the quality tends to be awful. So what can be done?

Luckily, the T-shirts are most expensive inside the parks. If you buy the T-shirts before you visit the parks you can get everyone a shirt for 50 to 70% off. Sounds good to me. Where are these bargains found?

One awesome place to shop is at the Disney Store Outlets. They are not everywhere, but if you have one near you I would check it out. I found fantastic Disney shirts that were originally sold at $24.99 for $7.99. Amazing. I had to resist buying one of every style. At you can find the location of each outlet store.

If you are shopping online and want authentic Disney clothing then I recommend They have sales all the time. One of the more constant sales is on T-shirts. Adult T-shirts are often 2 for $30. That is a great savings compared to the parks and they have tons of styles. Plus, you can shop from the comfort of your house without fighting with crowds and parking.

Even if you only match shirts one day of your trip I think you will remember that day as one of the best. Your photos will be more fun and you’ll probably get noticed by Cast Members for your fine taste in attire. Happiness squared.

Goofy Tip: If you are visiting Downtown Disney in Walt Disney World there is one more T-shirt option – Disney’s Design-a-Tee. At this unique store your group can match T-shirt color, design, or wording, or each person can create their own design. The skies the limit.
