Latte! Cappuccino! Americano! The big news hitting the blogosphere and NPR is that starting this summer you will be able to get a Starbucks coffee at Disney’s California Adventure and Walt Disney World. This should make my job at A Goofy Idea easier since we all know that coffee addicts are happier after they’ve been caffeinated.
I think this is a great idea. Disney works with many food companies from Coca Cola to Lawry’s. It’s high time Starbucks came into the fold. And I do mean into the fold. The Starbucks will be themed to match the park surroundings (so no huge mermaid sign…although putting it next to the new Little Mermaid attraction might be a good fit) and the baristas will wear themed outfits like all the other cast members who work on stage at a Disney park.
The menu will include everyone’s favorite Starbucks drinks and pastries along with some Disney food, too. I will be visiting Disney’s California Adventure this September and look forward to ordering my tall nonfat chai while I am there.

The first one opens in June at Disney’s California Adventure. I’ll let you know when the other’s come on board so you can enjoy a familiar treat during your Disney vacation.
