Before you enter any Disney park you must have your bag checked by security. If you are not carrying a bag then you can walk right past these tables, but more than likely someone in your group will have a purse, bag, or backpack and the group will have to wait for them. If you are visiting for multiple days and have a park hopper ticket you will go through security many times during your vacation. The people who check your bags can only do so quickly if you are prepared, so here are five tips to help you get through security as easily as possible.
1) Have your bag in front of you and have all the compartments open so security can see what you have without any delay. If you are carrying a jacket in the bag remove it so security personnel can see to the bottom.
2) Don’t close up your bag right there at the table. Other people want to get through as quick as you did.
3) Consider what bag you should bring before you arrive. Choose one without lots of little compartments or tons of zippers.
4) Consider having one person carry a bag or backpack for the whole group. You can take turns carrying it, but the only one person in your party has to get in the bag check line.
5) Be friendly to the people working security. They are doing it for your safety and they try to make it as pain free as possible. Grumbling about the inconvience or the waste of time will not help you get through the line faster or make your trip happier.
So enjoy the parks and feel safe. If you follow these tips you won’t even remember going through security. It will be easy and stress-free.
Goofy Tip: If you are staying on property you can have any purchases you make in the park delivered to your room. This helps reduce the number of bags you have to carry and makes it easier to get through security if you visit a different park the same day.
