Life is Full of Surprises

I love surprises, especially if I am the one plotting them. Whenever I plan a trip to the Disney parks I always try to include something magical that my group is unaware of until it happens. I enjoy my role as fairy godmother and my friends and family enjoy being treated to the unexpected. Happiness squared.

The ways you can surprise your group are unlimited and can range from free to really expensive. Here are five ideas that are sure to please anyone.

1) Get a character storybook room at your resort instead of a regular room. From pirates to princesses, there is a theme for everyone.

2) Make reservations for a character meal. There are special events for every meal and in every park.

3) Make reservations for the Hoop-dee-doo Musical Review at the Fort Wilderness Campground. This is the wildest and happiest dinner show at Walt Disney World.

4) Get a gift for your room from Disney Floral and Gifts. There are packages for every occasion and every price range.

5) Make reservations for the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party  during the Wishes fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom. (This is the surprise I am giving my friends while we are at Walt Disney World this week. I’ll give a review in a later post.)

There are many other ideas that would make wonderful surprises during a trip to the Disney parks. The hardest part is not telling everyone what you are planning. I love giving surprises, but I am bad at keeping happy secrets.

Goofy Tip: Are you wondering what would make a great surprise for your family? Find out what they like about the parks and then find something special that’s connected to that. All my life I have wanted to stay at the Contempory Resort at Walt Disney World. The resort is out of my price range, but a great surprise would be dinner at the Contemporary starting with a ride on the monorail.
