May the fourth be with you! May fourth is Star Wars Day. I’ll let you figure out why. After I typed the title to this blog I realized that the Star Wars world can’t help but be Disney since Disney now owns it. But even before Disney owned this popular franchise they were having Star Wars events. Even Star Tours has been around since 1987. (I have such fond memories of this ride from when I was in high school.) But now that Disney controls Star Wars they are introducing a couple of new features that are awesome.
If you like character breakfasts but are looking for something out of this world you can join Darth Vader and other Star Wars characters at the Galactic Breakfast at the Sci-fi Dine-in Theater Restaurant at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You can watch the movies as you enjoy your breakfast. I wonder if Darth Vader would cut my Mickey Waffle with his light saber.
If you like to sleep in then enjoy dinner with Jedi Mickey and the gang at Hollywood & Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This character dinner is part of the Fantasmic! dinner package so after you meet Jedi Mickey you can watch him vanquish a dragon with his imagination.
These two Star Wars events are happening every day from May 4 to June 15 so you have lots of opportunities to make your reservations. If you are interested I would make your reservations as soon as possible since I am sure these meals will be as popular as the Death Star being destroyed.
I enjoy the Star Wars movies (I mean episodes IV, V, and VI when I say that) but I am not a rabid fan. However, if I was visiting Walt Disney World I would do the Galactic Breakfast in a heartbeat. I just hope that Yoda isn’t cooking. Happiness squared.
